Little Women Opens at the Repertory Theatre!
Connecticut Theatre Company is proud to present the musical, Little Women, based on the Louisa May Alcott novel of the same name. Wonderful local talent will tell the adventures of the March sisters; Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy as they grow up and find themselves in Civil War America. A heartwarming tale for the whole family, this musical soars with adventure, romance, loss and joy. Duane Campbell, the director for the production states, “Little Women is a beautiful story that’s perfect for the holidays as many of us gather around our families and reflect upon our many blessings.”
Connecticut Theatre Company operates out of the historic Repertory Theatre of New Britain. The theater has recently undergone an expansive renovation and the group now offers table seating as well as standard theater seating. Patrons are welcome to bring their own food and drinks to enjoy before or during the show. President Erin Campbell states, “we are so fortunate to be able to continually improve the facilities at the theatre and enjoy seeing all the friendly faces from the surrounding communities supporting the arts here in New Britain.”
The talented cast includes: Keith Nelson (Naugatuck); Erin Campbell, Steven Michelsson, and Kristen Norris (New Britain); Susan Hilerio (Newington); Doug McCarthy (Torrington); Travis Karas and Remy McCoy (West Hartford); Sabrina Reed (Willimantic); and Jessica Irizarry (Wolcott).
The show is directed by Duane Campbell, choreographed by Meg Buckner with music direction by Mark Ceppetelli, and costumes by Rose Masselli Morse. Little Women runs November 30th through December 16th. Tickets start at $23, with discounts for seniors, students, and groups.
